Monitor services and scheduled jobs with checks you can reason about
Assertions without executing code, heartbeats with idempotency keys, webhooks you can verify, and an API that follows the same rules as the UI.
API assertions
Expected status sets, keyword checks and bounded JSON path assertions (equals, contains, exists, gt, lt) evaluated on the first 128 KiB without running your code. Authenticated checks keep credentials encrypted.
Heartbeats
GET or POST a secret URL from your cron job, queue worker or backup script. Use /start and /fail signals and ?key= for idempotent retries. Alerts when the job stops, overruns or fails.
Signed webhooks
Incident events delivered as JSON with X-UptimeGuard-Signature (HMAC-SHA256 over timestamp.body), a delivery id for deduplication and retries with backoff.
REST API
Monitors, incidents, metrics, status pages and channels under /api/v1 with scoped keys, cursor pagination, consistent errors, Idempotency-Key support and 600 requests per minute per key.
Metrics endpoint
Availability, unadjusted availability, coverage, durations by state, check counts and latency percentiles per monitor and window, with the methodology attached to every response.
Honest states
PENDING, UP, DEGRADED, DOWN, UNKNOWN, PAUSED and MAINTENANCE. Probe problems become unknown observations, never fake successes or fake outages.
