Getting started
From sign-up to your first real observation, a verified alert channel and a status page.
Updated
1. Create an account
Sign up with your email and confirm the link we send. A billing account on the Free plan and a default workspace are created for you. Your confirmed address becomes a verified email channel with a rule that routes every incident to it.
2. Add a monitor
Open Monitors, choose HTTP, enter a public URL and keep the defaults (GET, expected 2xx, 5-minute interval on Free). Destinations are validated when you save: private networks, loopback and cloud metadata addresses are refused.
3. Wait for the first observation
The first check is scheduled immediately. Within a few seconds the monitor shows UP, DOWN or UNKNOWN with latency, status code and the probe region. Until then it is PENDING, not 100% available.
4. Verify a notification channel
Notifications lists your channels. Add Slack, Discord, Telegram or a signed webhook (Starter and above) and send a test message. Email addresses other than your own must confirm a link first.
5. Run a controlled failure test
In development, point a monitor at the bundled fixture server and switch it to down mode; in production use a staging endpoint you control. Two consecutive failures (the default threshold) open an incident and send one alert; two successes resolve it.
6. Publish a status page
Create a page, pick the monitors to show as components, name them for your customers and publish. Only component names, states and history are public.
